Belt Line Enrichment Center Mural, Memphis, TN

Area youth created drawings on big rolls of paper. Volunteers cleaned and primed the retaining wall, transferred the designs onto the wall, and drew on the foot prints walking toward the Enrichment Center entrance steps. About 20 youth and adults painted the wall in half a day, and lastly, covered it with clear protective coating.
Dottie learned how to paint feet. "Youth on the Move" was the theme, so youth and adult leaders decided to use foot prints to tie their drawings together.
Church volunteer and Keep Tennessee Beautiful state leader Edith Heller joins in and has a great time helping to paint the mural.
Pam Santirojprapra was one of the mural organizers and artists.
Alexis, a neighborhood child, painting the wall with church volunteer, Betty Underwood.
Bill Marler, a Methodist minister who runs Jacob's Ladder, and wife at back right. Local firemen brought in a fire truck and opened up the hydrant to cool off and have a little fun. Area kids, who had never seen a hydrant opened, are shown how to "ride the wave" on the garbage can top.
